Pakistan to Compete Intel 10th Gen Notebooks with Local Viper P40 Notebook

Wiper Technology, a rising name in Pakistan’s PC business, has launched the long-awaited Wiper P40 notebook. Interestingly, the Wiper P40 is a locally made computer with a feature-fit spec sheet and a notable price tag for all “tech lovers.” In addition, the Wiper P40 lineup includes the 10th General Intel Core i3-1005G1 processor, a large 5000mAh battery for increased productivity, and a 2021 aesthetic design.

Construction and display:
Starting with the design, the Viper P40 laptop has a lightweight 24mm chassis, weighing 1.7kg, which gives it an uneven feel as the finish is all matte and rough.

Open the lid, there’s a 14 ″ HD (1920 x 1080) LCD display that covers a good portion of the sRGB color gamut, giving you an almost full color accurate experience. The hinges feel a little loose and tighten when the body is pressed, but the laptop comes with MIL certification which ensures durability even in harsh conditions.

On the forehead, there’s a 2MP webcam with granular color if you’re in video mode.

Below the display, you get a mechanical keyboard with 2mm key travel, but no RGB lighting. Keyboard may not work well with Typist, but it ensures good productivity if you are an office accountant or project manager reporting. The keyboard is paired with Microsoft’s precision drivers with a large touchpad that also supports multiple gestures to get through your daily workload.

Internal:
Under the hood, you get Intel’s 10th generation Core ™ i3-1005G1 processor (up to 3.4GHz) and 4GB / 8GB DDR4 RAM for both laptops. Also, there is no dedicated GPU, which makes things a little difficult if you are into gaming.

In terms of storage, there is a 256GB SSD that looks a bit small but should work as a regular work laptop. It looks like it wasn’t designed to perform heavy tasks such as playing video games and playing imitations because there is no GPU, but the machine works like an HP pavilion with common functions like watching movies, streaming. And heavy use. Software We tried to run Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator on the system, and they worked without interruption.

In ports, there are two USB 3.2 ports and one USB 2.0 that works well with older phones when transferring data.

Battery, price and availability:
Finally, the Viper P40 Notebook is powered by a large 5000 mAh battery that offers 8 hours of battery life on a single charge. We best charged the laptop for one hour, and it gave a good 3 hours of screen time with moderate use.

Currently, the Viper P40 retails in Pakistan for Rs 75,000 and comes with a 3-year warranty on a special basis for local consumers.
