Government Increases the Price of petrol by RS10.49 Per Liter
With the permission of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the federal government increased the prices of petrol, diesel and other commodities. The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had outlined a plan to increase petrol prices from October 16 (today).
According to the Finance Ministry, the Prime Minister allowed an increase of Rs 10.49 per liter in the price of petrol. The new price of fuel is Rs 137.79 per liter.
The price of high speed diesel has also gone up by Rs 12.44 per liter. The price of new high speed diesel has gone up to Rs 134.48 per liter.
After an increase of Rs 10.95 per liter, the new price of kerosene has been fixed at Rs 110.26. In addition, light diesel oil will be an additional Rs 8.84 per liter, bringing the total price to Rs 108.35 per liter.
The revised prices are effective today (October 16) and will continue for the next 15 days.
From October 1, the federal government increased the price of fuel by Rs 4 per liter.
